Hey guys and gals.. Been a while since I have visited the forums but here's hoping I can jump back in and help in any way possible

Anyway. My dreads are now well past the 2 year mark and they are totally natural/neglect. Some big ol' fatties in the back also. I have only been washing with b/s and acv once or twice a week depending on activity, weather etc.. Some of the larger ones are starting to look dingy or dull in color compared to some slightly younger dreads forming. My question is, would there be anything I can wash with that might make them less dull looking and a little more "lively" ?? Any info would be awesome. I love my dreads and they are going nowhere for a long time

i just have a small bucket that i pour very little BS in my opinion then fill it up with water and dumb it on my head. a little light scrubbing/messaging and I rinse after 5 min or so. then ACV the same way and rinse with warm then cold water.

alright will try letting the BS stay on longer.. should I "scrub" it into my scalp with my fingers much?

I have had a dry scalp since way before I started neglect dreads. It's been over a year now and it was at its clearest when I started. Now things are starting to really dry out again and get very sensitive. Especially around the front of my hairline it really shows. I generally use BS/ACV wash once a week, twice if needed. Other than that I really take no maintenance to my hair or scalp. I attached a photo to help you get the idea, it's small but anything easy I can do to at least minimize this problem? It doesn't itch or bother me much, just the urge to pick at it is terrible! and I know that only makes it worse.

Any help?

I have been growing my neglect dreads for over a year now and still have some loose hair. It takes much time, especially for straighter caucasian hair like mine. I love knowing that mine are 100% without wax or any other product other than BS and ACV wash twice a week. It really takes time, in the end you will be so happy and proud of yourself that you did it the "right" way which is natural

Don't "force" your hair to section just yet (if at all) You can let them go natural if you want a little more wild look to them. If you have dry hair, it shouldn't take long if you keep it clean. If they get too dry try using aloe. Try to post a pic if you can.

I have this also, I think it slows the process because the hair in the front usually gets touched and "pushed" back more. I am going neglect though, which is taking some time but it's still taking longer in the front for sure.
