Yeah I don't like dreadheadhq products and if youve been using just regular commercial shampoo I would stop, regular shampoo has alot of chemicals make your hair to slippery to dread up. Alot of pregnant woman arent alot to use commercial shampoo cause the chemicals also have trace ammounts of cancer causing chemicals, not that your preggo dude. But yeah in time your dreads will become alot more awesome, just do the bs wash once or twice a week, or don't even use soap, not saying your dreads arent mature, but young dreads love to be washed and the water and bs does alot every time, you almost feel them get tighter after using Baking soda just take a lil bit in a pot or big cup dilute with water and rinse, some ppl leave it in for a 5 minutes others just rinse.

I've been dreading my hair for about 2 and a half almost 3 years and havent had a hair cut for 4. I just went straight up neglect, at first it seemed like it took a while but around 8th months I was really happy with them, all I really do is wash them with dr bronners, baking soda and I do a Apple cidar vinegar rinse, helps get rid of soap residue, and is anti-fungal I've used aloe in the summer if my scalp gets dry. As far as the sectioning I tried to keep them single dreads for the first year in ahalfkept ripping them appartbut it was doing more damage then good, so I just kind of let my dreads do what they wanted to do and Iend up with alot of congos, I originally had like35-40 dreads, andnow I have like 20,alot of them grew together i like them alot. Sorry if this txt is kind of long,
