awsome in a bottle?

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

So i've been battling a dry scalp. Super dry flaky flaky flaky scalp. Then i've been noticing my dreads are feeling rather dry on the ends. On top of that they were holding the smell of cigarette smoke something awful. I came on here and gathered some ideas for a recipe to help and headed down to my local awsome health store. I told Fred i need moisturizing febreeze for my dreads basicly. He reached over and grabbed this spray bottle and said what do you think. so i began reading ingredients, Distilled water, Natural vitamin E, Essential oils of calendula, Lavender, esame, Geranium, Roman chamomile, Sandalwood, and French seaweed extract. Sound good? i think so and it smells amazing!

I then sprayed in on my entire arm and lots of it to see if it was greasy and oily cause i dont want my dreads to be all slicked up and it felt like i just sprayed water but left my skin feeling refreshed and moist without any kind of greasy slippery sticky sensation. So i said Fred il take it.

What is this awsome in a bottle? Its called Solar Recover. The bottle says on the back zausner.com so maybe you can find it there if your local health store doesnt have it.

I hear so many people asking about how to mix oils and what ones and i think these guys got it just right. so far it feel amazing in my dreads.

so anyway hope this helps some people.

Should I just use a bead?

Dreading Methods

i too have a few problem dreads like that. its hard to let them go when you feel straight floppy hair thats knotted at the bottom. i took some embroidery floss and wrapped a small part of that dread where it is falling apart after rubbing it a bit to get some fuzzys going where it will be wrapped. it helps give it a little direction to knot back up. just dont wrap too tight or too loose. remember its just to guide it.

No idea whether I have leftover baking soda in my hair, dandruff, or something else...?

Dread Maintenance

well if you say it is cold outside where you are its prolly just dead skin. i live in wisconsin and my scalp is sooooo dry but being that the skin cant go anywhere it slowly build up and almost feels like a residue at times. its just the dandruff mixing with your natural oils that makes it feel like a residue. flakes can be embarassing yes but its nothing to worry about.

So I know most people on here are opposed to dreadheadhq and knotty boy, but what do you think about their shampoos?

Dread Products

i use knottyboy and i like it. it makes ur hair like fluffy clean. i also like dr. bronners mint or lavender. il prolly use bronners when my kb is gone cause its cheaper.

New at dreads, and need questions awnsered

Help! Save My Dreads

i was freaking out about the same thing. i started sleeping with a tam on at night and its helping them get tight pretty fast. for the dreads that have gone completly straight in parts i took some embroidery floss and wrapped it just a little in that spot. it seems to help a little bit.

lice in dreads, help!!!

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

Ok. I had this trauma too. I ended up brushing mine out but i had it so bad that you didnt have to even search for them on my scalp. THinking back on it if i wouldve worried about killing the eggs i couldve saved my dreads. I tried vinegar and pepper soaks i tried dieing my hair even but the thing that really worked was barbosol shaving cream. I caked my head in that and all the way down my dreads.dried the eggs right out and killed some live ones. Has to be barbosol shaving cream though. Let it sit for a while so the live ones basicly suffocate. The shaving cream didnt seem to bother my dreads either. Made em feel soft n clean though. Good luck oh and make sure you spray ur pillow n bedding n hats with lice killing spray too so they dont come back.

I have questions about dreadwax - yes, I'm really asking this here lol

Dread Products

seriously if you feel the need to market something then market something that works and is helpful. like natural stuff that wont make your hair rot off your scalp.
