ya separate every day... i had this issue... i just said to heck with it, and none of them actually congo'd. but u have hair like 3 times as long as mine so :P

cuz for a while i washed with really harsh soap and my dreads shrunk loads: (sorry about the picture i had a wierd setting on the webcam :P)
recently ive been washing with more natural and gentle soap (also less soap and more water) and theyve been "growing" like mad: (this pic i took seconds ago)

yea baking soda and vinager rule cuz it foams like mad and really gets in thos dreads lol. but dont use to strong of vinager it can slightly burn ur scalp. nothng terrible but uncomfortable.
also what i like to do is wash with that or soap once a week then every other day just with water. it keeps them soft due to the natural oils of the hair.

haha sounds like shrinking to me. just leave it... i wouldnt actually twist it mor if i wer u. just leave it. it might look worse in the short run but just forget about them for a couple months haha
