1) Have you tried Whole Foods or a Vitaminshoppe? those are usually the places that sell essential oil. You are not going to find it at a pharmacy.

2) If you are in an area that has neither of these you can buy it on line. I get it from ebay, a lot of natural oil sellers have it. This one was a favorite of mine : Sleeping Dragon

De- Dreading

Dreading Methods

Ive heard that soaking dreads in conditioner and then combing them yields great results.

Dr Bronners leaving residue, maybe?

Dread Products

If you are going to use Doctor Bronners then you should wash your dreads with cold water to remove any lather. White vinegar should not be used at all when it comes to dreads.

How many days can you go without washing your dreads before they start to smell?

Dread Maintenance

I just washed my hair last night after not doing so for over three weeks. This time i did not add any locking gel or sproil (its fucking useless after 20 minutes) or sit under the dryer and its almost the same.

Dread Maintenance

I ve gone months without washing and its fine. I only washed it because I went to the beach. Anyway I have recently gone one month without washing my hair and it smells fine. I had a mixture of vitamin e oil, and drops of some essential oils like rosemary, lavender, and some other stuff (sorry i mixed it last summer) once a week or every few days. I currently use a bottle of Sproil when I feel that I need it but its still full and just sits in my bathroom waiting to be used.

Aloe Gel: Does it really make a difference.

Dread Products

So I went online to walmart.com and thought that it would be great to just buy the 100% Aloe Gel that they promote on the website. I went to the store and all I could find were these aloe gels which were meant for after sunbathing. I despised the fact that the gel had dye and preservatives but it was the only choice I had.

So the question is:

1) Should I use this on my hair or

2) Buy the gel shown online

3) or use what I was using before?

white dots on dreads

Dread Maintenance

Is there a possibility it is lint? If so wear a satin cap to bed or get a satin pillow cover. If not in the future you can dye it with henna.

I would use some apricot kernel, advocado, olive, or grapefruit seed oil. Massage into dry areas and it helps with the dryness. Sleeping with a satin bonnet helps.
