get all that wax out. Dish soap and hot water works pretty well but it may not be enough depending on the type of wax you used.

a nape piercing is definitely for people with short hair. If it was pierced with any kind of straight bar rather then a staple there is probably very little hope for it at this point.

I wear head bands and tams 95% of the time. It keeps my hair out of my earrings really well.

split end are not going to affect your dreads at all. you have to figure they are only going to multiply since you are no longer trimming your hair regularly when you have dreads, and all the hair that would normally fall off in your hair brush if getting trapped as well.

chances are when your hair is completely dreaded you'll stop noticing the split ends.

braiding and neglecting takes forever... I did one dread this way, and after a year of it still looking like a braid I took it out.
