Should I be retwisting or palm rolling?

Introduce Yourself

Just let em go. They'll love you for forever. Dreads are meant to be a bit chaotic and your scalp loves to hid underneath them in the shade when the sun comes out!

Start separating? (3 week old dreads) worried their not looking right.

Dread Maintenance

You shouldnt have to separate until after they section themselves off and they begin to mat together at the roots, but dont separate all the way to the scalp.

What the hell is in my hair?

Dread Maintenance

I would recommend switching to baking soda and ACV long with tea tree oil. It's easy and effective.

It is possible for me to get these dreadlocks??

Dreadlock Styles and Dread Styling

i wouldn't crochet if I were you. Twist and rip is alright to start em out with, but you gotta make sure that you're okay with em being messy because they WILL unravel a bit after your first wash. Considering how you have straighter hair T&R should be a good starter method. Its practically like braiding your hair into knots.

From the looks of your hair I bet your sections will be fairly small. It would take a long time for your heair to dread because it looks rather fine but it is definetly possible. If you don't wash for a few days it will section itself, but that doesn't mean you should never wash your hair. Start washing every two, three or four days (I recommend Baking Soda along with an Apple Cider vinegar rinse + tea tree oil) to make your hair less oily over time. Im going the fully natural method on my bangs where my hair is finer and the sections that formed were rather small.

Congo's and Thickening.

General Questions

Awesome. I've noticed a little bit of thickening, especially in the back and in a massive T&N that was done. It very minimal but I've noticed a lot of progress here lately.

Congo's and Thickening.

General Questions

I have yet another curiosity. Around three months ago my dreads were started with backcombing and T&R. Since then (as I have mentioned in the past) I have went completely natural. I was with BS/ACV and use tea tree oil. Since then I've decided to allow a few of my smaller "spaghetti dreads" congo to give my dreads more character. As for the rest of my babies, I was wondering approximatelywhen they would begin to thicken and shrink, and by how much?

This person asked for help so....

Help! Save My Dreads

Those sectionslook HUGE. They probably look neat right now because she said that she hasn't washed them yet to allow them to unravel.
