Lock splitting in 2
Personally I think it looks good. I've had roots do that as well and as t grows out it will correct itself. I think that it has a lot of character.
Haha, I had the same reaction to her SE!
I wouldnt do any method that was damaging at all. The last thing you want is your hair being yanked out thinner. Natural, all the way.
Those are some sick locs!
The messier they are the better.Heck, I even like my girlfriends hair better when its all messy and curly when she first gets out of bed as opposed to when she straightens it.You'll grow to love em once they start getting REALLY messy. It's a big part of the journey. When you stop caring about how messy your hair is it reflects your personality. People always tell me how much my hair suits me and how my dreads are SUPPOSED to be unruly. I get compliments all the time.
Isn't it coolto watch the ends of your dreads lighten up as they get older? My natural hair color is brown and before I started my dreads I had chunks of it dyed blonde. I've noticed that some of the ends of the hair that wasn't dyed blonde is beginning to lighten up! It's pretty neat to watch. ^.^
