Thanks! I'll probably run out tomorrow to pick up an entire arsenal of herbal ingredients that will promote a healthy scalp. I'll be sure to add those to my list!
I'm having a lot of issues with flaking and cannot find tea tree oil to save my life. Does jojoba oil prevent dry scalp as well? Are there any other oils that I could find that would help? P.S. I always make sure I soak with acv for at least 3 minutes after washing with BS.
Today is a very special day to me. Not only is it my birthday but it is the start of a new year. Today will be the first day of the first full year I will have growing my dreadlocks. I'm excited to see what is in store now that I have gone completely natural and cannot wait to see the craziness that will be sprouting from my tumbleweed like head and state of mind.
Maybe you could try washing more often for a little while? I'm no expert, but exposing your scalp to water may help. I know that when I was trying to increase the time between washes I waited too long and had this same problem. By the way, the dreads look good!
Do you use sea salt? If so then how do you use it and how much? I know that when I used too much my scalp got sper dry and flaky, but since I cut down my scalp has gotten a lot better. I actually mixed it with my shampoo but the spray is a lot less harsh ecause its applied lightly. Over blow drying your scalp will cause a lot of dryness too. Also, how often do you wash?
Would sleeping in a wool hat be recommended for dreadlocks?
