I live in florida too and although I have been here for almost a year I have yet to go to the bleach. I am used to swimming in the pool.. Usually after I just take a shower. Have you tried using aloe gel?

I seriously feel guilty after not washing my hair past three weeks. I don't know if I can go that long of a time. You run the risk of critters finding a home.
No but it is castille soap so use a lot of cold water when you are rinsing it out.
A few days before I got my dreads done by a loctician I opted out of not using extensions because they would be such a hassle? Do you have 20 dollars? Then go to Walmart and purchase a personal adjustable shower head and pick up .35 cent container of baking soda. Because that is exactly what they are going to do. If I were you I would ditch the extensions.
Yeah I saw them at Walmart and Joann. I ordered them online because they were cheaper. Some had a glass exterior and some were soft. So to play it safe I decided to just make them into earrings and bracelets.
Yeah I went to Joanns and bought some wooden beads instead. The ceramic beads i do get I will probably make into earring and bracelets.
Yeah I was looking for big hole ones. THey sell them on ebay 5 each. I dont plan to deck out every dread lol
Okay so I was looking around on Ebay for beads. I came across some ceramic beads like this:
Has anyone ever used ceramic beads and if so did these fit in your dreads? Also are they bad for your dreads?
I figure if these do not fit then I can make a charm bracelet.
Update:
I cant believe I forgot to tell you. There is a bead store in Manhattan on 6th avenue between 27-33rd street. It has a pink awning and there are tons of beads. Sadly I do not know if they have dread beads but you can find something, just be creative! Also walk down to 5th avenue between 32-23rd street ( I Call this the counterfeit district) to some of the African shops.
