Dread a Wig?

General Questions

Exactly. Obviously this person has their mind made up before they even posted this question. Instead of asking "should I" they should have been asking " how do I?.

Wow, you completely ignored my last comment. It doesn't look like you take suggestions very well, though, so I will politely bow out and refrain from offering any more to you in the future.

Dread a Wig?

General Questions

I know. For some odd reason I kept thinking about this Episode of Nip Tuck where a patient wanted the doctors to make him a realistic female mask so he can cross dress in public without being recognized since he had a lucrative career.

I don't like the thought of some poor womans (or mans) hair being made into your own dreads, it seems like it defeats the meaning can you not use synthetic hair

Dread a Wig?

General Questions

That seems absolutely pointless. Why don't you just wait until you get out of the Marines? You may not even want them after that. Dreading is a lifestyle not a party accessory. I can not help but think that you would not benefit from dreading a wig unless you have Alopecia or cancer survivor.

Dry Dreads

Help! Save My Dreads

For now. The longer you use the both of them, the more apparent the damages will be along the way.

Wax does not help your dreads grow, it gives off the illusion that your dreads have solidified and are growing.

Failed dread attempt with DreadheadHQ

Dread Products

Oh my gosh that sounds horrifying. You should contact the site and tell those people that, maybe you can get a refund. And if that does not work then spread the word. To be honest if i were to use "products" (lock gel) I would not waste more than 4 dollars at the local beauty store(Vitamin store is too far for aloe gel). I can only imagine the stories others have to say. At least you learned a lesson: You can not get dreadlocks from a box.

Leftover Dread beads

Dread Accessories

I originally came up with this idea after I saw the "uses for dreadwax thread"

So I went to an arts and craft store and bought a bunch of wooden beads for my dreads. One stuck but the other ones could not since my dreads are too skinny in most areas. Rather than get discouraged I ended up making them into earrings:

Just saying to those that there is always something to do with extra products.

ic gel and coconut oil mix.

Dread Maintenance

Oh boy I used to have jars of organic coconut oil in my bureau. I ate it, used it for my skin, and made charcoal soap. I rarely put it in my hair but it beats wax. So to each their own, what ever works for you.

Just STOP! (please'])

General Talk

Yeah, I have noticed that lately. Some people have to realize that we all do not have the same hair type so we adhere to different methods. Once we can just accept the fact that not everyone follows the same grooming methods, I think the digital battles will stop.
