I just wanted to share with you guys how I am feeling right now! It's pouring outside right now and the sun is still shinning and I just feel like things are finally going right!I have an amazing new boyfriend who I am very much in love with. It's only been a little less than a month but I feel like we will spend the rest of our lives together. We met thru Craigslist.com I was pissed at the ex for yet another stupid lie and couldnt sleep then at 4 am posted an ad and by morning had a few responses. My boyfriend was the only one of the 10 or so that responded that gave me some personality and it was like I had written his response my self Same personality as me when I write. Then we met up hung out all night. Two days later he posted an ad on Craigslist (seeking his new girlfriend) putting personal touches about me (including my dreads which he loves btw) and we have spent nearly every day together since. I haven't heard a word from the crazy ex and it has been wonderful!I got a job. Decent pay room to move up and 40 hours a week! I start September 13th (Fits perfectly with my vacation read below) So excited. I didn't even apply for it a recruiter called me! I interviewed on a Monday and they told be 3-5 days before I would know anything. Tuesday I got a call back about it having me fill something out online and Wednesday I got offered the position.I am going to Maryland from the 1st to the 11th for some much needed fun and getting so see family from back east that I haven't seen all at once since we moved from PA to AZ! My cousin is getting married and my Dad and I are the ones going and so I will be spending 11 days with my Dad just hanging out and getting to see my old house in PA, some old places we used to go, visiting with some of his old friends in NJ and even doing some sight seeing in NEW YORK CITY!My boyfriend's got some things looking up for him as well. (Keeping our fingers crossed it all works out) He will be moving in when I get back Things are slowly falling into place and keep looking up. I am staying positive and even when things seem grim I manage to get back into the positive mindset quicker than usual. Money has had me worried because I am a month behind on my bills thanks to getting laid off and Unemployment not kicking in until a month after getting laid off. I hated having to do it but thankfully I have a credit card that has managed to keep me afloat. But with the new job being a pay raise and several more hours than I was making before (when I could just pay all my bills and now having a few paid off) I will be able to pay it off again in no time!My dreads will be a year old September 19th and they are looking better every day! I added short extensions and it seems to have helped them finish locking up and they hang beautifully when my hair is down. I will get some new photos up as soon as I get back! I will be taking pictures like crazy on the trip!Everyday is beautiful. The weather is wonderful and I am making some new friends. (Will be so great when I start the new job because I wont be sitting there alone two days a week) I will be able to afford to go to school again and take night classes and can finally finish my Theatre Production degree and get started on my Sign Language Interpreter Certification!I am very Grateful for all the positive people on this site and for SE for sharing the info on Natural dreads. I feel the journey I have taken this past year is thanks to him and all of you! I would have only had my waxed dreads for the month I had them and then took them out and never tried again!Because of you all I have learned so much about my self and my ability to just accept things as they are and find the positive within each thing that comes my way. Recognize new opportunities and just live life to the fullest!Anyway I just wanted to share this with someone and you all have been there for me when it was bad at the old job and with the old boyfriend.THANK YOU! Would you put Dreads on your Child?

Well I do not have children but in my opinion if you stop maitinence on their hair its not forcing anything on them especially if continuing to brush and keep un knotted is causing them pain. If you tell them they can't have dreads when they want them it's forcing your ideals or "normal" society liked hair. I would probably be considered lazy when it comes to hair maintinence so dreads are perfect and I can only hope my kids are cool with them or dad is brushing their hair or they will have dreads

Life Issues Facing Dreads

So the crazy bitch that cut my hours on Friday the 9th telling me I was only gonna work Tuedays and Thursdays starting this week. Well Tuesday I go in I am doing my thing. She comes in and while I am pulling charts for the day and my back is turned to her she tells me she is "letting me go, it's just not working out and she can't afford me" I am like... okay... put down what I am doing and get to packing up my stuff which she acts like I am gonna steal stuff cuz she stands there watching.But now I am FREE! OMG it feels so good to never have to go back and deal with that dumb bitch. She laid me off so I can get unemployment if I don't get the job I am interviewing for next week. At first I thought great what else could go wrong in my life right now. I lose my roommate, then get my hours cut and have to find a new roomie and then get laid off... what else please? Well I have found a new roomie despite a couple snags making me think it wasn't gonna work out, he has been approved to be on the lease, I don't have to work for that terrible woman and I can focus on what I am gonna do with my life and start fresh. I even have an animal back in my life cuz the new roomie has a cat. He is super sweet. I am allergic to cats but so far we have been good and I have had no problems. I miss having a pet since my puppies passed last year.My fingers are crossed that things keep looking upOn a total side note anyone have any home remedies for allergies. Help build my immune system to cat allergies maybe?

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah no what she would do is write the letter while standing infront of me saying everything she writes out loud and continually going back over it to make sure it sounds smart and not like a total idiot wrote it. Then she will make me type it myself.. of course if I actually want it to be done this is what has to happen. If i rely on her to type it herself then it will never get done. Hence why I created a form for her to hand write referral thank you letters to dr's that refer patients to us so that I can type them print them have her correct them then print the corrected one again. So what could be accomplished with one piece of paper and an envelope has become 3 sheets of paper. All the while killing trees. soaringeagle said:

Okay this is hopefully the last time I will ever have to complain about the moron that I work for...Most of you know what crap she pulls if you read anything I have ever posted about her ( Sorry seems like all I do is complain D: )Today she calls the office to tell me that she will only be in the office Tues and Thurs from now until the rest of the year maybe longer and that she has to cut my hours to just Tuesday and Thursday starting next week... (today is Friday... thanks for the heads up). I had been working Tues thru Friday maybe 28 hours... now I am down to 16 if I am lucky.. Though I dont know how she expects me to complete all I have to when there are patients in the office with out staying later.After her phone call to me she sends me a text message that reads and I quote"hi sara! i am so sorry... if u hav 2 find something else, i will be happy 2 giv u a grt letter of recommendation!"All spelling exactly as I received it...I have an interview for sometime next week for a new job that is 40 hours a week with a decent base pay plus commission. If i don't get it I am in trouble if I do everything will work out perfectly. Although I have been looking for a new job for about 8 or 9 months... (about how old my dreads are actually) but I never hear anything backThe reason this is such a cluster fuck is that my roommate moved out this week and I can't leave cuz breaking the lease will cause us to owe over a grand and mess up my credit. AND I had to find a new roommate and deal with interviewing new people and making sure they aren;t crazed druggies or murders and if I don't I would have to pay all of electric and rent. Thankfully I think I have found someone, hopefully he doesnt bail on me but. I am only so against waxing because I now 1st hand how awful the experience was and the fact that I am almost 9 months in with out a single thing done except T&R to start them and I still have dreads. Spent so much less $ and didn't waste hours of my valuable time in front of a mirror like other vain people I know do. I am very AR and I weighed the wax the first few time till i figured out how much so the only way i could have over waxed was because his info he gave in the instructions...they def didnt feel good might have been the fact that it was July in AZ so 110 degree weather but worst experience i have had with hair and i have dyed mine some messed up colors on accident before haha

I used Twist and Rip and mine were locking about 1 week later. With my wax set it looked like straight hair stuck together for the whole 6 weeks I had waxed dreads.
