Hemp String?

Dread Maintenance

I have used hemp cord in the same wrap for the past 3- 4 months. I definatley thing the criss cross one would be better. I decided to do a closed one and that section is thin, I also dont know if it has dreaded, (when I put it in the hair was undreaded.) Does anyone think I should take it out and let it thicken up?? or change it to cross cross, I like using hemp, but make sure you get un waxed hemp cord if you do decide to start a wrap. discussions/8001-9000/8000-Photoon05072012at14.39.jpg?width=737&height=491

will thick curly coarse hair take longer to naturaly dread?

Dreading Methods

Hey Joey, I have thick curly hair natural I've been dreading for 5mnths now. And its about now that they are really starting to look like dreads even though for months they have felt like them, I do find I need to separate often as my curly dreads can attach to to others easily. But part from that just good washing and separating means we just follow the same path as folk with straight hair. I wish i went totally natural some of the coolest timelines are cur lies. Check out rachel Natty Dee timeline. She has awesome curly locks.

Dread beads questions

Dread Accessories

my beads stay in all the time! They do fall out sometimes so I just whack them back in.

all I will say is i don't recommend glass beads and I'm pretty sure SE has a similar story but I almost smashed my front teeth with one not to long back so i switched to wood. It takes a lil time to get used to sleeping on them. Momma ure dreads are looking awesome by the way and the beads are really nice too.

My Dreads...

General Questions

I looked online on the website for our local water provider which allowed me to put my postcode in. But im sure if you checked for water quality on google for where you live it should show something. We have very hard water over here in Bath :( i still get a little residue from the BS wash but i find boiling water first really helps in dissolving the BS. only downside is you need to wait a while to cool or add a couple of cups of cold once most is dissolved
