loctician salon dreads bad ideas

Help! Save My Dreads

I have soaked them 2 times for 20 minutes in warm water with acv. After this almost all the wax was out. I have them now for 4 months and 3 weeks and didn't do anything other than wash and prevent congo's since i got them.

how long have you been "salon free" and what did you have to do to get all the wax out?

Help! Save My Dreads

Damn, just saw your story, that is by far the worst i have ever heard. I'm so glad right now i didn't listen to the woman who made my dreads, she also wanted me to come back after a while to maintain them and also did lots of wax in them. Mine are fine now. People also told me to ask my money back but arguing with people like that is just a lost cause.

Good luck with your dread recovery.

How Long Does Your Dreads Grow In the first 7 months.

Introduce Yourself

Mine were also made with crochet hook, didn't do anything withing 4 1/2 months (since i got them) and they have gone from halfway my back to above my shoulders. They also grow but they seem to shrink faster.

crochet dreads painful picture warning

Dreading Methods

They do get thicker if you leave them alone and stop crocheting, mine shrunk a lot and got almost twice as thick as they were. I think the problem is that they don't have the patience to wait until they get thicker in time, they want instant "perfect" dreads.

ye cause crochet makes them supernaturaly thin so to make em normal thicknes u need 3 times more hair then normal

Dreading Methods

Mine were also made with the crochet hook but were not as tight as these are. I don't think that customer had a nice night sleep like that, would have hurt so much.

I don't like the big gaps between the dreads, looks more like cornrows.

Residue from Bronners and BS

Dread Products

I think apple cider vinegar will help. I rinsed my dreads with it to get rid of wax and that really helped.

how often do you wash your locks?

Dread Maintenance

I used to wash them 2 times a week but now it's summer over here and it gets warmer in the nights so you sweat more easily, now i wash them every other day.

the truth about crocheting dreadlocks

Dread Maintenance

the frizz will go away on it's own. Mine are now 8month old, started with the crochet hook and now there's almost no frizz any more :)

dreads and jobs

dreads jobs employment issues

I'm a desktop publisher. I work there for 4 years now and got dreads 5months ago, they didn't say anything actually. In a month i'll be a student again but i guess in my future career dreads won't be a problem because i'll be working with animals.

veggie vegan omni ital? whats your diet and hows it relate to your dreadiness (if at all)

Dreads and Diets

I just ask myself is a 30 minutes good feeling on your mouth worth a life? Ik stoped eating animals for 1,5 year now. It's true other animals eat each other but the difference I see is that they don't have the choice like we do to eat something alternative. Also they kill one animal and the whole is being used, they eat everything and what is left behind will be eaten by others. Also the animal they want to kill had a oportunity to escape and has lived in the nature. Human kind has an over consumption market where thousands of cows, chickens, porks... are held up in cages and then killed along with other where they can see and feel the pain. They can't escape it. And later on a lot of it ends up as trash from people at home or even supermarkets.

I could never give up steak lol, I think it's more important that people not use clothes made from animals that eat food from animals. Other animals eat eachother but no other animals make clothes from eachother.
