1 month dreadlocks
Introduce Yourself
So cool. Well said, little bro.
You SO get it! The time to live and enjoy life is NOW. Some people can do that while still pursuing career goals; for others it's not a part of their journey. I affirm and admire the desires you have! You go, girl. And way to beat the sh*t out of illness, chemicals, and all forms of general nastiness! WHOOT!
Cheering you on from the Hinterlands of Canada!
Thank you for this, it was very encouraging! I love the wild & woolly look.
You are soooo right! Patience is the crucial key to locs... and to life. Interesting how the one is such a reflection of the other. Kind of like a Reminder given to us. Namaste!
Love, LOVE this! Thanks for such wise and encouraging words!
LOL@ "super thick white girl" hair, because I am a super thick white girl and I have hair!! hahaha Mine looks crazy too. Got me a big ol' dread that loves to stick out just above my ear. No kidding, from the root it sticks straight outta the side of my head a couple of inches! Looks groovy.
Wow, that is insane shrinkage, all right. Sheesh! Totally shocking, I'm sure. Not overly looking forward to it myself, but it will be what it will be. All part of the journey, li'l sis. And BTW, I agree to SE about the NONtubby thing!!!
Hang in there, luv.
They are freakin' awesome! One month?? You must have had them professionally done, cuz they look mature. Don't fret over the loose hairs, they will disappear eventually.
It is interesting to me how passionate both sides are on this topic.
The Rastafari base their hair choice on the Nazirite vow (think Samson) spoken of in the Bible. Here is a link that may be helpful: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazirite .
