Ok thanks. I thought I was losing my mind. I was like I've done this a million times and did I really forget what I was doing before? I hope your ratings are improving, lord knows this IS the BEST site out there!!!

OK I'm a nerd, I've only been looking for a few days but I found the link to the new site. Not to the top of the page though?

What Happened to the Home Page Button?

General Talk

I have recently noticed that after clicking "home" to review the recent discussions and posts that the only way to get back to that page is to re enter the site. Am I missing something? I can't find the Home Button...and that also had the drop down to the new site....where did it go?

twisting up dha hair

Introduce Yourself

Ok as long as I have belonged to this wonderful and very helpful site I have never heard a person come across as rude as you! For what I was able to take from your slang is that "white people" dreads are disgusting and you want to become bald as well as become a race you aren't. If those are the locks of your choice then why don't you go to a salon and pay for them to destroy your hair? From everything I have learned, twisting "gay" Caucasian hair will not ever become anything other than a twist...until you shampoo and it falls out again. A perm will only make your hair curly/wavy depending on the style you choose but after all the chemical treatment you would still need to go through the loops and zig zags that are far bigger than anything you want. Maybe you should buy a wig and call it a day

Dread question

Introduce Yourself

Yes they will get fatter. I have fine hair that at 6 months I could still wrap a band around it 2 times. I am now just past the 1 year mark and can't hardly even grasp it all to put a band on, and it now only goes around 1 time. The more hair you lose (roughly 100 hairs a day), they will become entwined in your locks continually making them larger. They say the size of your dread part at the scalp is what size your dread will eventually become.

Seven months into twist and rip/back comb and my hair looks like a mop head and not at all like dreads..

Dread Maintenance

Do you think you might be separating your hair more than needed at this point? Or maybe just playing with it too much? That can undo knots as well. Just a thought. I know when I started (and still), when I shampoo I scrub my scalp like crazy and squeezing the shampoo and water through my hair help to knot it up a lot. I shampoo every 2-3 days with Vicki"s shampoo and it's wonderful. Good luck and keep us posted.

I think you have beautiful dreads! I can't tell you what to do but if I were you I'd leave them alone. They look great!
