Nusing job with dreads?

dreads jobs employment issues

Pretty much the only requirement is that you pull them away from your face if they're too long, but thats required anyway with long hair

I'm a nurse. Some of my old folk actually like em. I got two ladies who were "flower power" in the 60's 70's. They love them.

Dreaming of dreads!

Introduce Yourself

Who told you you can't be Christian and have dreads? I never heard that before. Although I don't really go to church my mom was pretty catholic. Don't recall anything forbidding dreads from my youth.

Twine safe for threads?

Dread Accessories

I was thinking of wrapping. Yeah it's the same brittle stuff your thinking. Just figured I already had it. I have a couple dreads that are pretty much straight hair after about an inch of knotted hair. Because my hair is thick the ends fan out pretty wide. Was wanting to wrap this few so they weren't so fanned out if that makes sense

Twine safe for threads?

Dread Accessories

Just wondering if it was okay to use twine for hair? Got a bunch in my basement. If anyone has used it or have an opinion I would appreciate it.

Seperating dreads issues

Introduce Yourself

Thanks for that baba I guess that makes a lot less work for my wife to do. She's been pulling each individual hair out that was in other dreads. You're saying this is not necessary?

Seperating dreads issues

Introduce Yourself

Okay since I stopped doing anything except separating and washing it is becoming clear that the hairs I separate keep trying to go back in the same dreads. Not sure what to do. If I just let this happen I would have some massive dreads which I'm not really trying to do. Any advise to stop this from happening?

Karma locking gel

Introduce Yourself

So I ordered shampoo and locking gel from dreadlockshampoo after reading all the positive reviews on here. I'll get it in the mail today. Excited! Just want some advice on how often to use the gel and when is the best time to use it? I wash hair twice a week. Should I use it the same day I wash or wait a day or so to let hair knot up more? Any advise would be greatly appreciated

Your experience with family/significant other not liking dreads?

Introduce Yourself

Sorry to hear that Mons. You seem like an awesome person. My first marriage was 8 years of ups and downs so I understand.B, growing a huge ginger beard is the one thing that sucks about being half Asian. I've always wanted a massive beard, mines scraggly at best, lol. The cool thing though I'd that my mom was mostly Irish with crazy red hair and I have lots of red in my beard which I didn't think was possible from biology class.
