any dermantologist that would recomend   that over a natural remedy should be avoided  tht can be used with a natural remedy  if you want but  you should try a natural 1 instead

if i remember right thats steroid based  it works by supressing your imune system, making yu more at risk for every illness especialy tb

i could be wrong but since i had simular issues i decided against using that i use dreadlockshampoo.com patchoili  tearee roemary and njow the new charcoal based one (not on te site yet just message her for a trial)

stop using everything that contains sls

that most lkely contains sls so while its treatig the symptoms its continuing to cause the disease

most shampoos contain sls so most cause  skin iritation

now heres a few suggestions

www.marysherbs.com consult with her shes amazing

on facebook find sevensong sevensong is 1 of the worlds leading herbologists

tell both that soaring eagle sent ya

oh on fb also find panterra caraway send her a link to this discussion and have her reply to it

shes amazing with hair and scalp health and id trust her over any dermmantologist that said not to grow dreads

i had a rare skin condition known as pemphugus foliosis the dermantologist i saqw for it wass the worlds leading expert, and researcher in that disease, but working in the same office was the wolds leadding hair and scalp expert

my dermantologist  called him in to the office to show him how amazing my dreads were and how healthy my nscalp and hair was

before finding dreadlockshampoo i had been tortured by a hospitol in  oregon that nfried my scalp so badly it  bled  and came off in chunks for years..decades.. dreadlockshampoo was the 1st thing..including toxic  medicated shampoos that ever helped my scalp

its still never 100% but close and now that i tried the charcoal based 1 for the 1st time its  never been this good in  20 years

i had even took part in experimental trials of new treatments  and nothing helped like the dreadlockshampoo

new dreadlocks shampoo deep cleanse charcoal dread shampoo review

Dread Products

Vicki from www.dreadlockshampoo.com did it again, a new product will be launched soon, (i tested the prototype tonight..wow)

1st off it does not have the delicous scents we expect from vickis dreadlocks shampoos. Being a prototype I think more versions with the scents we love will be soon to follow.

this is a dark black bar, it lathers extremely well...and  the clean.. Well I have always had a problem scalp, vickis soaps were always the only ones that cAme close to keeping it under control, but I often had to put oils on my nose, ears and neck right fter washing... Not this time! I only used it a few hoirs ago so its too soon to say  its the best anti dandruff shampoo for dreads, but it seems like it maybe! I will reply in a couple days with how my scalp seems then.

Additionaly, with 10 foot long 25 year old dreads that have dragged on the ground for at least 8 years I had an embarrassing ammount of lint near the ends. I did a 1/2 assed job  scrubbing the ends with the bar and it seems like  it removed most if not all!

The 1 drawback besides the lack of the  droolworthy scents is it seemed to sting a little more when it got in my eye, most likely due to the grittiness of the charcoal even though it seemed to be microfine.

Even without the scents vickis dreadlocks  shampoos are well known for my hairs never felt so clean nor smelled so perfectly clean..The complete lack of any residual scent just adds to the clean feeling.

If you love  the other dreadlocks shampoos, and  if you still do an ocassional baking soda deep cleanse I'd recomend this as a far healthier  deep cleanse alternative...It's like a detox for your dreads!

It is also amazing for any skin issues you have anywhere from dry to oily  pattches, pimples ..you name it (at least from my 1st experiment it seems to work wonders on a wide variety of skin issues)

Loose Hairs Within Dreads

Dread Maintenance

2 things

  1. you had your dreads just over a month  they are babies
  2. you tie your dreads back at work, its proobably loose where its restricted from moving

give em 6 months and you wont be able to find those spots

retwisting locs dangers

Dread Maintenance

stop retwisting wash often a minimum of weekly but you will need wax b gone to get that crap out also demand a refund anyone that  would dare put wax in dreads does not belong in the dread business  wax is a dread killer and wax b gones the only way to remove wax

stop all retwisting and wash often  and stay away from salons

wax b gones from www.dreadlockshampoo.com

DLS vs VitalGoods

Dread Products

i tried vital goods liquid i poured 4 times as much as i use of the dreadlockshampoo on my whole head, on just 1/2 my beard and gave up

then tried  the bars i got out of the shower and 1st thing anyone said was "what happened to your skin"  it was so dried out and my nose ears nexk and forehead  had thick covering of dried flaking iritated skin

dreadlockshampoo bars give me the best dandruff relief but it comes back  slowly   i use a lil argon oil on  bad patches i dip q tips in the oil and spot treate where i need to every couple days

remember to use cold water too

and no nobody complained about residue  the vital good makers best freind  claimed to use a "rubber ducky" test puttintgg the bar in a shower with a rubber ducky on the floor then seeing residue on it\

like she ddnt use a body soap and like it couldnt be from the water itself

but she rated dreadlockshampoo as a bad shamoo and vitalgoods as the best

i have not6hing against the creator nor against the shampoo if you like it and it works for you but i found the liquid unusable and the bars  wreaked havoc on kmy already problem slin

ps if u ojly use the liquid rarely when your loose hairs are out of control  it will be less of a problem that has sea salt wich dries the hair and skin

pss if its  psriasis not true dandruf try pwatchouli instead of teatree
