Maybe you could wear a tam in the shower for the present so they wont get wet and irritate your skin. If thats not an option( cause I know you love washing them often), you could get a 5 gallon bucket next to you in the shower and put your dreads in that along with something a bit milder than the acv. We are thinking about you up here, you will get better!
I had lice once. I got them from a friend of mines little daughter that went to daycare. I got rid of them with tea tree oil on a cotton ball at full strength. I caught them very early so it was easy. It sucks if you wait cause I cant see how you would get all the dead bugs and dirt out. In nearly 14 years it had only happened to me once, and if you use the oil right away you wont have any problems. I think you could pre-treat with a strong teatree soak if you know you are going to be in a high risk area.
Thats good news! That knotty guy is a rip-off artist. One thing I do agree with him on is that his pictures dont lie. There is not one pic on his site of beautiful dreadlocks. Here, there is thousands of them.
