middle-aged newbie dreadhead

Introduce Yourself

Happy to hear it! I agree, just put it up or behind your head. Be sure to leave them down when you get home. They can turn into one giant dread! My old friend kept hers up all the time and she had a huge unilock lol:)

Wet dreads?

Introduce Yourself

It shouldnt prevent, just be sure they are dry before you wash them again. Mold is no good! But in Vegas they should dry right quick:)

My husbands dreads

Introduce Yourself

how many does he have? My friend has only 4 dreads! If he feels they are too thick he could try separating them closer to the root and begin some babies next to the hugest ones. They look fine to me though. I was wondering what you both have found with 2 different methods?

Introducing my journey.

Introduce Yourself

Good for you! You are very young and have a very nice life ahead, very nice indeed. I actually started mine at the same age you did! If you keep them, your dreads will be like a road map of time, events and people become intertwined in your hair.:)

Are thin dreads easy to fall out when there long

Introduce Yourself

I have lots of long, thin dreads. If they are good they should never pull/ fall out! It should be just like pulling on the same amount of normal hair. They do like to combine together a lot more than my thicker dreads. I have sat on my dreads before causing me to not be able to stand up again lol. But no, I have never had any fall or pull out because they are skinny.
