Future Dreader, I wanna get it right the first time! (introduction)

Introduce Yourself

Ya bro, I worked at macdonalds not that long ago, and the most i would agreeto was a freakin hair net it my hat couldn't manage it. Never conform. get a job one day where you can be you, and not what this shithole of a social construct in in modern day capitalist anglo-saxon america wants you to be. I realized i wanted to be a teacher a long time ago, a professor actually, and it just so happens to have very lax dress codes the higher up you go. good luck man. All natural is the best and most spiritual way. Anybody who does TnR, in my opinion, is still conforming to certain idea imposed upon them by the media. wtf is so cool about UNIFORM dreadlocks? Seriously. Shit is like looking at trees plated in rows. ugly. The best dreadlocks are the natural ones, just like the best things on this earth take the most time.. One love.

2 months photo, neglect

Dread Maintenance

I think ringlet hair dreads pretty slow, i thought since my hair was curly it would dread faster, and once i got to a certain tangle, every time i wash it it sets me back a few days, i am trying a different washing cycke, like every 4-5 days instead of a week, maybe the cleaner hair will dread faster, i hope it doesn't untangle..anybody have problems like this.

Any ideas why this actually happens?

Dreading Methods

but WHY? lol..why doesn't it just stay semi-messy? why does it completely lock up, its so cool..I think to be a fully evolved human spiritual being you must have dreadlocks

I mean the locking itself, its very odd that our hair naturally spirals and turns into dreadlocks don't you think? The spiral being the only naturally occurring and perfect naturally occurring shape in all of nature.. very cool.. I searched on google all morning.. no explanation..??

Dread Accessories

I would like to see video that shows exactly how to do it yourself. Does it speed up the locking of the dreads that are stubborn?

Dreading Methods

I have read that a wool tam or hat really helps, I have a 30% wool 70% acrylic beenie, that fits kinda tight, shoudl I wear this to help. It seems like every time I wash it sets me back a few days, i try and wash every 3-4 days, and right beofre I wash it its getting very frizzy and locks are forming, but after it looks like I set it back a few days, its still progress, but I think i will start aiming for washing once a week. I have made progress, as you can see in my pictures, new pix every week.

We need a "My hair won't naturally dread" support group!

Dreading Methods

I disagree, if it works for native americans, it will work for anybody.. there are descriptions in the rise and fall of rome, written by somebody important, about how the vikings had locks.. and we all know the nordics have the finest, silkiest, thinnest, and straightest hair in the world.. those with straight hair need to just not wash as often, most knots come undone while washing.. patience is key.

yep, unfortunately we all have different hair types. Neglect dosen't work for everyone no matter what people say.
