you sectioned your hair and did t and r right? ok so right now you kinda have an outline for dreads. They are not dreads yet. There are no real knots yet. For the next year....your hair is gonna form knots. Those knots turn into dreads. They are gonna go thru a process of loosening up so they can knot up ..then loosen then knot. They are gonna form loops and weird bumps. Each dread is unique..no 2 are exactly alike.Noone has really covered week one cause nothing really happens yet. Loosening is normal, expected and wanted. Wash your hair...but wash gently. Concentrate on washing your scalp not your hair. Otherwise, Don't touch your hair. Don't play with it. It can undo the knots that are trying to form. Sleeping on wool or wearing wool tams a few hours a day can encourage knots. Spraying your hair with a mixture of sea salt and water an hour or so before you wash it can also encourage knots.You don't need to worry about anything the first week.
