Dreading Methods

little underneath dreads just wont stay

Dreading Methods

so its only day 3 for me, but it seems every morning when i wake, and feel around my beautiful baby dreads, all the ones in the back lose all their knotting from twist and rip. the ones on the top only lose the above knotting, like theyre only totally dready at the bottom of them which i figure will hopefully fix itself through neglecting, but the little guys underneath just cant seem to quite ever make it.is there anything i could do to try to at least keep them knotted? maybe sleep with bands on them? thanks

What do you think?

Introduce Yourself

yeah there is a lot of bad in this world, its completely messed up. but realize there is also a crack of light shining through the darkness.as individuals we cant change the whole world, but i believe what we can do is start changing that bad thats around us that we can control, and influence others to do the same. just be kind and let all the negativity go, dont let it get under your skin. :)as for the school system, it is pretty bs most of the time. but there are a lot of teachers who are trying to change that for us, who actually care about enriching students lives and teaching us about reality.

luckily everyone i know isnt that hateful towards dreads, they just dont "get" them. but theyll just have to deal. i think they are afraid that i will change if my hair does...hahaha ridiculous. soaringeagle said:

yeah going natural would be ideal, but people would try to intervene and tell me to stop dreading. this way i can just tell everyone who doesnt support me that there is no way to undo it.i will take pictures for sure! thank you for the advice! soaringeagle said:
or go natural nothins easier but yea twist and rips a good choice too real easy to do and effective looks good and holds together well
post pics before after during and all along your journey

thank you, i will look into the clarifying shampoo.
i was thinking the most convenient way for me would be twist and rip, since im going to be doing this mostly by myself.

baking soda..or any clarifying shampoo like nutragena daily clarifying
a clarifying shampoo removes all buildup and conditioners restoring hair to a natural state great for dreading

how r u gonna dread?
