have ya ever noticed how beautiful the ppl on this site are?

General Questions

To make a long story short through martial arts i started to study the humans instinctive side(body language,micro-expressions, profiling etc..) and it is very hard to trust someone when they say one thing but their body screams another.I have hardened(for the worse) over the years but am taking steps to soften towards people(yes i do have a family, g.f of 21 yrs and a 16 yr old daughter).
I am finding forums are a great way to approach like minded people without the distraction of physically interacting with them so iallow a measure of trust to build through verbal interaction.I am really quite approachable and a big kid at heart, im just not that into people in general, but i'm changing...

neutrogena t-gel

Dread Maintenance

yeah personally i wouldn't worry and i always found it good for dandruff.

really concentrate on rubbing it in to your scalp rather than your dreads.

neutrogena t-gel

Dread Maintenance

i used t-gel before and after startin locs and it was o.k.

the way it left my hair actually made me use it initially with my fresh locs cos i found(in my opinion) it left no obvious residue and left my hair sqeaky clean and yet very tangly, not smooth and tangle free like regular shampoo.

howdy mate,

remember oils will condition your hairand will slow down the frizz being locked up, so go easy on them.

Baldness in time?

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

i reckon it's the oil(jojoba,lavender,peppermint,t,tree) rinses and better (calmer?)attitude.

ive always liked lavender and used it for stress(aroma-therapy) but have since joining here found it is also considered excellent for thickening hair growth and stimulating scalp re-gen, so now use it in every rinse.

By my reckoning my hair started to thin 16 years ago and i've wanted dreads for 10 yrs so if id started them 10yrs ago and treated my hair this good id have brilliant dreads by now and probably more hair, lol.

Baldness in time?

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

hah, i was already thinning on top when i started my locs, now that i've quit using shampoo and use natural soaps insteadand the oil rinses i swear i've noticed a thickening of the thinner spots.

this is not a neglect dreads site

General Talk

id like to echo what Charlotte said, i believe it is the interpretation of what is said is often misunderstood(major problem with all forums).

As it is quite a lifestyle changing decision it is a little dishearting to hear someone who has gone "neglect" to use terms like

i'd never torture my hair like that,

how could anyone actually do that to themselves,

they look so fake,

i'm glad i never made that stupid mistake.

Which i'm sure was not meant in a mean fashion but can really bite deep to someone copping shit from all they see and now "their own community" expresses those same/similar feelings.

I am not singling anybody out here these are all just random comments i've noticed and cringed at, only because i think they could have been said more tactfully, personally i dont give a shit what anyone says about them or i wouldnt have started them in the first place.

None of the above comments were actually directed at members here just comments made duringgeneral discussionsbut im sure some would be quite hurt by these sentiments.

Do we not learn through our mistakes,i've grown since on this site as im sure all have.I'm sure many of us have said something and thought shit that was wrong i couldve said that better when actually seeing the reaction first hand, we dont have that luxury on the net what is said is said so a little fore-thought before posting would go a long way to making all feel comfortable.
