a debate challenge to johny clean

General Talk

That is so awesome that he agreed!I can't believe that it's actually going to happen. In case this helps or anyone cares, I cut off my first set basically because I followed his instructions correctly, except that I didn't use as much wax as recommended.

General Talk

Unfortunately, I didn't save them or take any pictures but it's just like you said, the wax built up and was still there.

Would like to know the right way of maintaining and growing your dread faster

General Questions

Don't pull on your dreads to make your hair grow faster, it will only damage your dreads. Instead, take an omega 3 fish oil supplement, eat lots of greens, and massage your scalp for at least 10 minuets a day. The massage will increase blood flow to your follicles which will increase the amount of nutrients they get, so hair grows faster.

hands and hair?

Dreading Methods

My question is does playing with your hair too much hinder the dreading process because of the oils naturally produced by your hands?

Thanks, but there were too many flaws made by my constant worrying and overuse of maintenance techniques for me to not cut them. But I'm glad you decided to not cut yours, they're lookin' good. RippleInStillWater said:

I don't have any pics of the new dreads. It's only been two months so they don't look like dreads yet, just looks like I haven't combed my hair in a while. If you cut them, you'll just have to go through what your going through right now sometime down the road. RippleInStillWater said:

only about two months, I don't have any pics of the new ones up, mostly because they just look like uncombed hair, not dreads yet. RippleInStillWater said:

I did the back combing thing too and then cut them off a year and a half later cause they weren't what I wanted. now I'm going the natural method. If you cut them or keep going, either way you are going to have to have some patience. Which ever way you choose is up to you, but try to realize that loose hairs are a part of having dreads.
