I'm kinda disturbed by how superficial I've become

Life Issues Facing Dreads

hey man, I went through the same kinda thing in high school, listening to music that people I thought were cool listened to is just one example. But once I started to explore other musical worlds I began to discover what I came to find out what I thought really was cool music. You can apply this to anything else or to your whole life in general. Go out and experience things. One thing that really helped me was meditation. It helped me figure out whether or not I did it because I wanted to or if it is just for the image. If you don't think volunteering is for you, whatever man, it doesn't make you a bad person, even though people will try to tell you that. Once I sorted everything out, I got rid of all the just for the image crap that was clouding my experience of life.

dreadheadhq dreadsoap...yay or nay??

Dread Products

I totally agree that if you are going to wash with anything, wash with baking soda. The only reason I don't is because it's much easier for me to use a shampoo since I'm in college and don't have a lot of extra time, especially in the middle of the week. I'll probably try the baking soda wash once summer rolls around.

I use it but my scalp doesn't tend to get too dry, it might be different for other people. Overall it keeps your hair clean, which is what you want.

Dance?

Reggae has such a nice groove to it. makes it that much easier to dance to. Jake Holland said:
This is sort of funny, or at least has made many of my friends comment in the past. But I do not dance well, unless to reggae. It just moves me the right way I suppose. Drinks and herb help me loosen up enough to it though :)

For me, dancing is all about having a good time. Getting good comes with practice. In most cases, if you just let the music take over, your already good.

From what I've experience so far, it all comes down to how much time you put into it. I try to put about 6 or 7 hours a week in just because it's so fun and I want to get good really bad. Alicia said:
Oh awesome! How long did you take it for? I was wondering.. is it hard to learn it and be GOOD at it when starting at this age?

You are NEVER too old! I didn't start ballet until my late 20s, and there were many in my class (it was an adult class at a professional ballet school) who didn't start until well into their 30s.

I probably wouldn't have appreciated it as a kid anyway. It's actually quite a mental workout as well as physical. I loved it, but had to stop a few years ago due to an injury. Which is really frustrating because I was only 6 months away from finally starting pointe training. :-(

Just a tip -- make sure to put the weight of your dreadbun at the top of your head rather than at your neck. Or make Princess Leia style buns on the sides. Otherwise it really pulls at your neck in certain positions.

Thanks! I hope so. I always have wished that I took dance when I was a kid and thought I was too old to start now..but a few weeks ago I was like.. Who cares how old I am..I just want to dance. Haha

I guess I would call it flow dancing, you just let your body flow with the music. That's always a good time, especially at concerts.

I was wondering how many people on here like to dance. I have recently joined the ballroom dance team at my school and it's absolutely awesome. What types of dance do you like to do?

have you EVER used ANY dreadheadhq ot knotty boy products?

Dread Products

I use the dreadheadhq shampoo because it's residue free. The only bad thing is it can leave your scalp a little dry.
