I want to get dreads but when should i?

Dreading Methods

i started my dreads when my hair was just to my shoulders, so shorter than yours is now. the only issue was that i couldnt pull them back in a ponytail. i think doing dreads with layers in your hair actually looks really cool too =) my hair only shrunk about 2 inches or so. i used twist and rip, then id backcomb up the knots and twist and rip some more, and then backcomb, and just repeat that to the end of the dread

Real hair extensions for dreads or not?

General Questions

but! defintely DEFINITELY make sure, if you put extensions in, that you wait til your hair is mature. at least around 8 months to a year. i put mine it at around only one month. they stayed in very well. my real hair just wasnt dreading like it should have been. so, im taking them out, and maybe ill put them back in sometime!

Real hair extensions for dreads or not?

General Questions

whoa!!! i ordered mine off ebay.....i have a LOT of hair. i got two orders of them, 22" long and only spent about $70. i just had to dread them up myself and i used a crochet hook to put them in. so yeah..definitely look on ebay first!

has anyone had really good luck with the backcombing methodd

Dreading Methods

i backcombed the first time around and it wasnt too shabby. but the second set, i did twist and rip and then id backcomb the knots up real tight, and then id twist and rip again, and back comb again. my dreads were really tight even in the second month
