NEED HELP! CROCHET DREADS

Help! Save My Dreads

Not chlorine.

But choline.

Choline is good for your hair to be able to grow, also good for your brain, and your liver. It is found in some foods like cauliflower. Recommended that males get about 500mg of it a day. Sorry for any confusion.

Edit:

I guess inositol is really good for helping hair grow too. And there is a lot of products out there selling both choline and inositol together. But I think unless you have a condition like bad kidneys or something, the human body can make plenty of its own inositol as needed.

NEED HELP! CROCHET DREADS

Help! Save My Dreads

To help with the hair thinning, make sure you are getting enough B vitamins in your diet as well as Choline.
I dont have shinning problems (yet) but to be proactive, I personally recently started taking CDP Choline supplements, which is what this guy at this forum said he did to stop his hair loss by 75-90%.

Help! Save My Dreads

Baking soda is extremely alkaline. It makes your hair cuticle open up which is what "cleanses" your hair...But this can also damage and weaken your hair. If you use any at all dont use too much. And don't let it stay in to long and make sure to rinse it all out. It strips your hair of its natural protectant covering which makes it more susecptible to damage. PH is important for hair health. Most water is fairly PH balanced.

Scalp itch, loops and blunt ends

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

I used to have super itchy scalp all the time for years. I had to force myself not to scratch at it. I would start scratching it without even realizing it. On rare occasion I would overdo it and it would damage my skin enough that it would form small scabs.

My head is rarely itchy now. These are the things I do differently now:

-Cold water rinse of hair, washing with gentle massage of the roots with fingertips, not fingernails. Just enough to exfoliate a little loose skin and oils, not too much rubbing too long.

-whatever method of drying, try not to overdry too quickly the roots.

-use purified water if possible (I have a shower filter to reduce chlorine and flouride and crap in the water). Or use purified water at least for the final roots rinse.

-move to a vegan diet. Eat nuts like walnuts, pecans, almonds, and have green smoothies packed full of nutrition and vitamins and nutrients.
Get a blender and put a lemon, rasberries, like a 1/4 pound of spinach and whatever else like some broccoli and maybe banana or pinapple to sweeten it. Throw in some flax, hemp, or chia seeds too. Blend it all up and enjoy. Your skin takes about 6 months to fully reset so be patient with the changes and you will probably notice a change by then.

Hey everyone..

Introduce Yourself

Dreads can be religious. So dreads can be protected.

I know what you mean though. Just because the law says equal opportunity blah blah blah and they go through the motions of interviewing several people for a job, doesn't prevent them from already having the peraon they want to hire already picked out. Or they fire/lay you off for some other bullshit reason. Like when I got layed off they just said the reason was they had to for business reasons to save money. Which was total bullshit cuz the company I worked for literally made about $1,000,000 USD per month profit!

$1,000 dollars???? Fuck that!!! Like How much per hour is that?

And for a hair job that will probably not last longer than about 2 months.

Really good chance they will look weird after a while.

Omg, these kinds of people really erk me. I am religious, but I use discernment when interpreting religious texts. Just because something is written down a long time ago, and claims "God said" doesn't mean it's guaranteed true.

I believe there have been redactions, and so we must use discernment.

For example in one place I've seen a religious text say to treat all people justly and with equality, and then in another place it condones slavery. So something is messed up.

Using discernment, the texts that follow the "just" and ethical path, that doesn't go against nature/environment is the truth.

With regard to hair, Dreadlocks are about as natural as you can get, so they are probably the most in-line with the way the creator or God designed us to be.

Your hair looks nice. I wish I could get my wife to dreadlock her hair. She has long beautiful brown hair. Her hair is naturally straight, and periodically put curlers in her hair to get lovely curls usually for special occasions. Looks good too, but I think dreadlocks would be awesome. I think the biggest hurtle is the self image issue. My wife is always asking me "Does this look okay?" Yesterday we were in the store (everyone around is complete strangers) and she put her hair up, and was bothered that the part in her hair wasn't perfect; it was zigzagy. I just told her its fine, and nobody here is going to care anyway. Nobody is going to be critiquing your part. You've been at it 4 months... How did you get over the image issues?
