Dandruff? or BS?

General Questions

I know this has most likely been covered but I hate searching and Ill ask anyway. Ok so I just washed my hair using BS/ACV. 1/3 cup BS to a gallon plus 6 drops of teatree and lavendar oil. Soaked for 15 mins. Rinsed good. Rinsed with to 3 capfulls of ACV to a gallon. Rinsed after. And I noticed a white flaky paste in my roots. Is this dandruff or BS? Im pretty sure I have hard water after inspecting my faucets and such have a white crust around them. But I def cannot afford a filter. Why scalp was a bit itchy the first time i washed so it may be dandruff idk. If it's the "hard" water affecting my wash could I use mabe drinking water? And my scalp still smells a bit like the oils idk if thats good or not...

Tying dreads back

General Questions

Is it better to separate after a wash when they are wet? Or should I wait till they dry to separate?

Tying dreads back

General Questions

Hello. I'm not even a week into the process, got some baby locks but not dreaded to much. I work in a meat market and must tie my hair back and use a hair net. I was wondering is any of this bad? I make sure not to tie them back too tight and tuck the ponytail in my shirt. and the hairnet isnt realy tight but it doesnt even cover the top of my entire head. I'm just a bit woried that tying them back will affect the dreading process. Other than when Im at work I'm always wearing them down. But I have to tie them back for at least 8 hours while im at work. Is this at all no good for the process? Appreciate any help

Partially dreaded - wash

General Questions

I prolly will since TnR isnt working too well for me. I did The wash and the rinse but now my hair is parted down the middle like normal before i sectioned. Is there something special I must do for this not to happen? I dont exactly want the middle to be parted.

Partially dreaded - wash

General Questions

Ok so about 3 days ago I sectioned my hair with rubber bands at the roots. I work alot so Ive only been able to do a dread or two a night. I currently have 5 dreads but I really think I need to wash my hair. But I don't wanna take out the bands and lose the sections but I know its not good to wash or even leave the bands in. Any suggestions on how to wash without losing the sections. I really dont wanna take them out and section again. Any help is appreciated

TnR help

General Questions

I get towards the end of the dread and it gets so thin a strand of hair just dangles there. The more I TnR them the thinner the dread gets on the end. What do I do with these?
