while traveling maybe a month or 2 but wasnt happy bout it at all..loli like waahing once or twice a week.. any longer and drives me crazy but there have been times where it just wasnt possible so didnt for long periods and hated italtho i will say it drives me crazier in the city then in the woods..city grime is gross and a weeks worth is disgusting but un the woods can be completely covered in mud and not feel so grimy

cant remember the last time i washed my hairat least 3 yearsno needs, smells like hair. if it smelled bad (i often ask people close to me that would be honest with me) then i'd wash id but i duno its alllllll gravy i think. why put some chemicals in your hair if its not necessary? its jus all about training your hair n weaning it off of shampoop so your hair eventually produces the necessary oils that suit you. I shower at least once aday but just dont get my hair wet, unless ii have been swimming previously, then i jus wrinse and wring them out...dunoooos, to each is ownits a HUGE misconcpetion that all dreadheads dont wash their hair but i duno i jus kinda felt like thats wut i needed to get all nattyd upNamaste

I usually can go around a week, ( I shower daily just don't always get my hair wet cuz of drying)it also depends on sweating, I was at a rave last night and was sweating everywhere (which btw dreadlocks are like having your own built-in fan) and the next day I felt like I had to soak myself at least, but then I just smelled like sweat until it dried and went away,I agree that given enough time you probably wouldn't have to do anything, but even then it's probably not gonna work for everyone (hair types, lengths ect)

i went about 6 months. i feel like washing them would of helped them mature quicker. but let me tell you, when i finnaly did get to washing, the smell of them wet made me gag haha. but they are 11 months now and pretty matured so im gonna start washing once a week. too much dandruff and dead skin cells for me to be okay with at this point
