Welcome. Like Eagle said, stopping wax is only the first step. That's a big one, though. But to form healthy locks, you need to get the wax out. And because wax is a hydrocarbon, it will NEVER wash out in any amount of water and normal soap. Hydrocarbons need a detergent to clean them out. This is a pain, but is absolutelynecessary. I'd be more than happy to help you with this. There are great instructions in the dreaducation page. But I can help clarify it, if you have questions.

vinager (full strengr=th)
followed by extremely (near dangerousely so be careful) hot water and loads of dawn dish soap
then
wax b gone
and hot waterand dawn
repeat repeat repeat
