Welcome. NEVER use wax. Wax will do nothing but prevent your locks from forming. It gives a false sense of maturity because it just glues your hair together and makes them look like locks. But because it prevents knotting and looping, no knots ever form. And because it's a hydrocarbon, no amount of water and soap will wash it out. You need a detergent to clean wax out. This causes water to get trapped inside your locks and creates a perfect environment for mold and mildew to grow.
The only way for locks to form is to have them be clean and unhindered.
So first of all, if you want locks to last more than a few years, you need to scrub all of the wax out. Depending on how much you used, this can take a while. If you only used it once, it'll take about 1 month of washing with a detergent 2-3 times a week. Longer if you used it more than once.
As for the lime gel, forget about it. Lime and lemon juice are citric acid. Citric acid is too strong. it seeps into your hair shaft and breaks down your hair from the inside out. This will make your hair super weak and brittle. I'm sure there is a conditioner that makes it soft, so you don't feel the damage, but the damage is still happening.
I know it sounds like I'm preaching the neglect method, but I'm not. I do think it's the healthiest, but I know many people just aren't ready to let their hair go. I wasn't. I did huge amounts of damage to my lock in the very beginning. I even have some videos on here showing what that damage looks like after years.

if you have african textured hair u just need moisture to prevent over dryness..thats it
