Welcome. When you're done looking at the dreaducation page, look through the timeline forums to see what the coming weeks/months will look like

Welcome to the community Rachel and to your second journey. I see you are using sea salt as an accelerator, just make sure to rinse it out within 2 hours so you do not dry out your hair. If you would like more tips, other than what is on the dreaducation section at the top of the site, feel free to read my tips for T&R journeys.....peace

Hopefully you know not to retwist this set. And there's no real reason to wait. Washing once a week is fine. Baby locks can be safely washed 2-3 times a week.

Unfortunately, your area has extremely hard water. So castile soaps aren't good for locks. Castile soaps, like Dr. Bronners don't rinse out well in hard water. They leave huge amounts of residue. This will build up over time, and cause your locks to weigh down, and can cause mold to grow.

Bucks County Soap is a small company based right outside of Philly. They make the best soaps for locks. And they work in hard and soft water. I'd really recommend them. Since many organic shampoos contain too many conditioners and can leave residues, as well. Their website is Dreadlockshmapoo.com

Welcome. What are you washing with? There are a number of shampoos and soaps that are popular. But many are bad for locks, and some only work in soft water
