I sent a friend request cuz i tried to send a meesage and couldnt, then i found this...anyway, so true what you were saying about conspiracy theories. My main problems with the ones going around now is they operate on the assumption that the system's O.K. its just a few bad apples, and within their logic bending arguments they redefine capitalism and socialism as it suits them. Here in the U.S. we already have a problem with people who equate capitalism with freedom as well as free markets & socialism with statism (so heavily a libertarian left is thought to be an oxymoron). The other thing is that the dominant conspiracy theories originate on the far right and as such anything they touch becomes essentially "banned" on the left. I cant stand pre-scribed ways of thinking, and this is equally dangerous. While there is no need for a grand agenda by some evil secret society, the affinity groups of those in power work very knowingly and deliberately in their own interests, and many on the left have yet to catch on that occasionally the elite's will sacrifice a cookie today for two cookies tomorrow-(like in the case of our education system)--have you read my article on that one yet?--anyway, great comment!-Jakk
