That's cool. I don't know the ingredients, but hopefully they are good for locks, and won't leave any residue. Do you know if it's a castile soap? If so, be aware that castile soaps don't work well in hard water (I don't know off hand if you have hard water).
But don't bother palm rolling or root rubbing. Root rubbing destroys your roots. It rips up the hair down there, and pulls hairs out. This creates weak spots and makes your locks thinner and weaker.
The same goes for palm rolling. If you don't do it often, it doesn't do anything to create lasting knots. It only makes them look neat for a few hours. If you do it enough to see any progress, it will undoubtedly, severely destroy your roots. I did it daily for just the first 2 weeks, and 7 years later I' still trying to fix the damage.
