Hey Justin, no worries about loose hairs at 6 months. I still have loose hairs at 15 months, they can take up to 2 years to mature, just depends on the hair, what you wash with etc, some people mature in 1, we are all different, so don't worry about a thing. What are you washing with now?

When you use the baking soda wash, acv rinse, are you scrubbing your hair or letting BS do its thing all on its own?

Peace

Welcome. Eagle's right. Aloe will only help prevent your hair from locking. It's great if you need to make your hair look neat for a special occasion, but otherwise it will be too conditioning

Welcome to the community. What shampoo are you using exactly? It must be residue free, firstly. Secondly, aloe is very conditioning, which is not the best for baby dreads.

Welcome to the community. You should find these links useful. (Dead URL) http://www.dreadlockssite.com/forum/topics/some-links-for-those-new-to-the-forum/a>

I would suggest natural, but TnR is the next best thing.

Welcome. Check out the dreaducation page first off. Then take a look through the timeline forums. See what you'll be in for in the coming weeks/months. Neglect is the healthiest method. You just through away your brush and wash 2-3 times a week with a lock-friendly soap. Then as they mature, separate as needed. If you want to use a starter method, TnR is better than back combing. It does much less damage. Just remember that no locks form quickly. It takes about a full year to grow mature locks.

Above all, NEVER use wax, gels, creams, or any type of tool on your hair. And never go to a salon to have them "fixed" or started
