Welcome/ But crocheting is actually worse than any products you can put in your hair, including wax. Wax can be scrubbed out over time. Crocheting only does damage that is permanent. Every time you stick the hook though your lock, it rips hairs to shreds. There is no way to do it without damaging your hair. Most of the damage is on the inside, so you can't see it, but it's there. And it weakens your locksconsiderably. In time, locks have been known o snap in places just from how over tight and ripped up the hairs are.

Baba is right. Throw away that hook if you still have it. Let your dreads recover, although it may take a few months.
