This is the same as what happens to me normally a day after I've washed. Go through and do an in depth separation, you might find its actually just a few hairs in the wrong dread that are pulling your scalp.Peace and love toyo!

Knotty boy are more like a little back comb, some twisting and a tit tonne of wax.Then you walk around like some idiot with an antenna on your head! Direct her to this sight, hope it works.
Considering wax or something to help my dreads..
Dread Maintenance
Don't use any amount of wax all it does is stick the hairs together to resemble dreads but won't allow any friction so your process will just stay the same since the day the wax was put in. Plus god know what sort of stuff you would collect in your hair from the wax stickiness. Best bed is to wait for Soaring Eagle to come online and private message him about the situation.

I understand your pain that must be really frustrating, you could always just twist and rip then let them go naturally that way. Even if it progresses slowly like neglect at least it will show people what you're trying to achieve. Don't give up, good things come to those who wait.
