i myself have had dreadlocks 22 years and will keep them till i die dreadlocks are a very personal choice and to lose ones dreads plunges you into dread loss depression and a profound sence of loss of identity
now i understand you said shes not african american so shouldb=nt dread that is racism wether a african american said it or not no race owns dreadlocks and dreads are a part of every culture on earth theres evidence of dreads thousands of years into ireland scandab]=nacvia nordic and egyption histories as well as pretty much all cultures pharoes like king tut wore dreass and commoners often wore dreadlocked wigs to appease the god men pharoes
even native american tribes wore dreads cheifs, warriors and medicine men dreadlocks were worn by the holiest of holies in fact gurus sadhus and religios leaders all over the globe wore dreads

but you will see ob=ver time that 98% of the people u meet hold a very high regard to dreads you will walk down the stret and people driving by will shout "respect" and "nice dreads" yes 1% hate dreads yes the haters are very vocal about their ignorance yes she will face descrimination from that 1% but mostly she will get compliments and admiration..and looked up to
so your fear your embarrassment will melt away
and besides wouldnt you want to appear to be a supportive parent who encourages your child to develop as a person? not be held back by your bias and fear of judgement? arent you fearing how her appearance reflects on your parenting?
well most people will look at you and appreciate that you ar supportinve not restrictive.

if tjhety whoever they are keep violating your rights your space and brutaly combing out your hair against yoir will you can and should file charges or get a restraining order
you could olso defend yourself the hairs at the nape of the neck or the widows peek are extrasensative.. grab them pull them to the floor and hold them there
the lower lip as well pinch it and you got yourself a puppet you can drag enm to kiss the floor lift em back up even repeatedly walk them into a wall or make them kiss your (or their own) ass
you dont have to injure to control you can take control of the situation and keep them controlled till they agree to your terms

Yes it was against my will and unfortunately the law is very lax over here. They always comb them out regardless of compliments I get for their looks and cleanliness. It's a vicious cycle of start a set, watch them progress, and suddenly have them combed out. The worst part is that they know my hair is already tangled and tangles pretty quickly. then 1 day she realized ppl gave me respect fir dreads and it wasnt something to be ashamed of now she brags about my dreads to other dreads they meet..lol

Well what I would do is write a long and passionate letter explaining exactly how you feel and why, just it hurts you, how you don't feel like yourself, how you feel ugly. Why was so important you to have them. Tell her how selfish it was to put her embarrassment in. Front of your self-image and mental well-being. Tell her how devastating and depressing it is.
Then just want her how she would feel, to have an arm cut off because it was hairier that another, or leg, because one toe is bigger than the rest.
Just if something different than the way you like it doesn't give you the right to forcibly change it.
Losing your dreads is as bad as losing a leg or arm. all because she saw it as a flaw not as something something of beauty

dont bother palm rolling anbd definately dont band them
let me tell ya my siss ex had haok]ir your length anfd braided it every night
the 1 time he left it down he had 6 massive dreads by morning
it will dread very fast so you will have to seperate more often thats all
