**UPDATE** My Journey~ 11/18/2010~forever

Thanks Kristina ;-)

S.E It was only in over night....so they didn't have a chance. The one that was left is a bit shorter now and starting to loop, but its all bumpy INSIDE from the way she looped it in and out of its self. She did it so much that we couldn't get it out, so I left it. Its just 1 and luckily under everything else ;-)

I know a girl who's on YEAR 2 and shes still shrinking LOL. Your going to have shrinkage first! There is really no telling how much or how long until you start to have growth.

Yeah its best to just let them be...every time you backcomb or t-n-r you're just going to have to wait for that to loosen and tighten again anyway LOL!

No idea why half of that post is black, but I forgot to answer you...YES my hair is tight here, loose there...its just part of the dreading process. Because we backcombed, the hair HAS to loosen up before it can tighten.

I have heard nothing but bad news about anything that comes from dreadheadHQ. I decided to google the soap you mentioned, heres a part of what I read:

"We did not add tea tree oil, rosemary, or peppermint or any other additives to our soap to change the smell, fight dandruff, or stop itching, because these very additives leave residue behind which can build up in the dreads causing irritation and facilitating the spread of dandruff and other scalp problems." dreadheadhq.com

Here is where someone else like Soaring Egale needs to add their 2 cents...because I'm not all that experienced in this. BUT I do know that those oils that they spoke badly of ARE actually really good to use.

Its up to you its your hair...but I really wouldn't trust that site.

I use a bar of Dr. Bronners. I have tried Maylees Garden shampoo bar too, but found that it conditioned my hair too much! I tried the baking soda too, that worked well. BUT I liked to have bubbles LOL!

Now that youre starting to get loops, things will become loose and tight here and there. DONT try to do anything (ie. backcombing), just let it do its thing ;-)

I watched, I have no sound card ...so I couldnt hear you LOL! They look good on you though. They are going to be BIG and thick with they tighten up!! I don't palm roll because I noticed it just makes everything loose. Your at 2 months now...I'm at 3 (started off with backcombing) and now I have loops everywhere. I love them...its so cool to watch them change.
