Wet/Damp dreads before bed.

General Questions

I have been warned not to go to bed with wet or damp hair...for the sake of not ending up with mold. But I see so many people post about showering or swimming before bed. Whats the deal here people? I'm dieing to know! ;-)

My roots grow out to longer than 6 inches.

Dread Maintenance

maybe try not having it tied back for a while? that has helped my roots knot up much quicker.

Introduce Yourself

That must be what my problem is Heather. The hard water...because I feel like residue or something is left behind. Normally I use Dr. Bronners bar soap. So what do you use?

Is it normal to have this many loops?

Dread Maintenance

its just how your hair tightens up into a dread...we have babies lol they have to mature and its a part of the process. whether you did t-n-r or backcombed or went natural after its sectioned, its how they form. At least THAT'S what I'VE gathered from this web site...if I'm wrong feel free to correct me LOL!

Help! Save My Dreads

Hey S.E, I know it probably is different with everyone...but what would you say is the length of time it could typically take for them to "settle" down?
