Hi, i'm new.

Introduce Yourself

I think the chief thing you must remember Jerry is that dreadlocks are a natural state of being for hair without a brush. It just........ happens. Beautifully, on its own. Anyone trying to sell you a product is doing that..... a salon. dreadhead hq, knotty boy etc etc..... It will not do their business any good to say "yea, you can do all this stuff for free with a minimum of effort......"Listen to the people who are not out to make money. Its there you will find the truth. Money makers will sell you lies to make money.......You can help your dreads along to form, but if you just give your hair a couple of weeks alone, it will TELL you what it wants to do. it will form its own sections, telling you where your dreads should be. Don't force it. Let nature decide, and then if you life maybe help it on a lil bit with T and R or something :)

General Talk

Yesterday I had a quite far dread which felt a bit loose and sparse and I was a little concerned it may fall out...... and then today I felt it and it felt really spongey and matted! I was rather chuffed... but is it normal for them to just suddenly change their entire personality over a day?

felted look?

Dreading Methods

I think you're talking about mature dreads? That look you get when they are all fat and settled down, and the frizzies have calmed down and the hairs all look quite smooth in the dread and it looks all soft and cuddly? Is that what you mean when you talk about looking "like felt" as opposed to felted which is a technique of makin dreads. If thats what you meant then yeah... its just a consequence of time :)

Dread Products

I would think this way.... is your hair dreading all fine and dandy??? If it is and it isn't hindering your process, and you're scalp feels better, then if it ain't broke don't fix it :)

General Talk

I actually think Bethan is lying and those "tubes" are the wrapped dreads of a massive giant she's chilling with...... but he wants to keep his presence low key, hence the "bunjee cord" excuse............ :P
