i have dreads that come to my ear, but they still arent locked yet. how can i get my dreads to lock? (somebody suggested honey but it doesnt seem to be working).

i want to get twists and grow them into dreads but when i go to the hair braiding shop they use a comb to twist it and the comb went through my hair. i want twists bad so how can i make hair real nay so it can twist easily. please help!!
