I want to do the excatly same thing, if I wasn't going to Bali with the family next week, I probs would have just left a note telling my parents that I would be back in two weeks & have gone backpacking through Vietnam.

I don't have dreads BUT is putting your hair under water counted as washing lol?
Is there anyway I can speed up the dreading process?

Beanies help, but make sure there wool....& not too tight otherwise beanies can make your hair too tight. (don't have dreads, but my bro does it was funny when he first started he had the beanie too tight and it made his his flat and straight xD....But yeh good luck! :-D
