issues with washing

Dread Products

so ive trie using baking soda and water (no oils) <--- maybe thats my problem? i didnt like it cuz i didnt feel clean and it hurt my eyes and it was just bad so i picked up my kb soap again until i can find something else and it isnt cutting it for me either mostly because i dont feel clean. i feel like it isnt reaching parts of my hair on my scalp mostly because its a bar. i was thinking its maybe the brand or because its a bar i dont know but i also bought other soaps at an arts and crafts fair and they arent for dreads but they are organic i just didnt know if they would still work or not. need help! some dissapointments about my new dreadness

Dread Maintenance

otays so ive had my new dreads for about a month now and i did them in a brick like pattern with the t&r method and i love the dreads i just am really ahh about not having a perfect part anymore (anyway to make them pretties without parts?) and the ones underneath have a lot of root and the roots are forming together and i rip them apart as much as i can because i dont want them to be bigger than they are and i was just wondering if eventually theyll stop doing that lol and if eventually ill have more dread then root and tip. theyre still really young and maybe im worried for nothing but id like some of you wide dreaders to help me with my scares. thanx!

Took em out

Dreading Methods

Well I started out my dreads the knotty boy way and then when i realized how big my friend was making them i had her stop and i took em out and started again the next day, again, the knotty boy way. that was 2 weeks ago and since reading about all the damage i have done to my hair i took them out too. so, i have my hair (or at least whats left of it) pretty much brushed out and ready for dreads. i was thinking about going to with the twist and rip method. any tips?

Washing?

Dread Maintenance

what does the baking soda do? ive had dreads for a week now lol where do you get natural bar soap? how often do you wash them? Knottysleeves said:
The baking wash is best.

Dr Bronner's works for some people.

I alternate between the baking soda wash and a natural bar soap. The soap makes my roots dread like crazy.
