Found this soap...

Introduce Yourself

I love love love the baking soda wash. Give it a try and see what you think. It will certainly be less expensive than buying several different soaps. I follow washing my hair with a chamomile tea and extract spray :-)

If buying soap is really the way you want to go you can find out the details of your water by either calling the city or testing the water yourself. I tested my own water initially because I have a monster tank I use for my research. You can also bring tap water into a local pool shop. Local organic stores tend to be quite helpful in finding appropriate soaps.

I use Dr. Bronners when I ambackpackingand I absolutely love it.

Will I look good with dreads

Introduce Yourself

Lets confuse the guy, eh ;-)I say dread the hell out of yourself. It's awesome and you will look awesome with them. But that's just how I feel. How do you feel.

maybe if u feel u have to ask u need dreads more then anyone

can u accept yourself andf not have to look good?
can u throw away your mirror and never feel the need to check how u look again?

dreads empower u to not care about such silly things

Will I look good with dreads

Introduce Yourself

Dreads are the acceptance of yourself, not about trying to find the best look for you. If you have to ask, you're not ready for dreads.

I started doing this a few weeks ago and it works very well.

Goofiest dreads you'll ever see!!

General Talk

Okay, so I admit my way of obtaining dreads was unethical but they didn't look like that. They must be using a hell of a lot of wax? I'll post a pic of my most infamous, sticking up dread. It's kinda funny. Actually, I should make a vid to demonstrate the damage done by crochet!

the man is getting me down :(

Life Issues Facing Dreads

I agree. Tell them it's a process. Alternatively, there is always room on islands for more dreadies :-)

General Questions

I didn't t&r my hair but wouldn't bands on the tips prevent him from doing it? Or at least make it very difficult. I would also think they would lead to very weak tips.Obviously you are right though in that if he wants to keep them in, lets work around that to help him out.Will- Have you outlined your cleaning regime? What products are you using? Paula said:
If you are adamant on keeping the rubber bands, at least take the ones on the roots out...those are the ones that will cause more problems...I don't recommend keeping the tips tied but I guess you could give those like a week or something..
