Hello Just checking in to see where we are with the beads? I was wondering if they were sent out and if they were I can make your necklace now. I was hoping to get some smaller chunks of tigers eye but I think the necklace would be really nice with what I have on hand Peace Jill McCulloch said:

Well I went to the bead store today and found some really nice pieces for your necklace. I think you're really going to like it when it's done. Hopefully I have all the pieces I need, if I don't I may need to wait till the end of the month to buy some more beads and ship it out in July. soaringeagle said:

A co worker is having a baby so I need to cover her shift so I can't make that so you cool with trading via mail? soaringeagle said:

but its well seed camp starts tomoro the 10th and the main gathering july 1-7
ill be there 22ndthru 8th i think but the 8th may change i dunno

I enjoy making jewelry, bracelets, necklaces, some macram, metal, and wiring working so I'd be down for doing some trade. Would you like a necklace? I think I may need something on the medium side. My dreads are new so they are smaller than a #2 pencil.PeaceJill

Which essential oils are good for the prevention of mold and for the health and wellness of your dreads? GoldenEagle said:

Mold begins to develop when water gets trapped in hair. If you haven't used any wax don't worry about mold.

Just continue with the baking soda washes, rinse your hair out really well and dry. Using the essential oils that prevent mold helps also.

I am not sure how much baking soda you are using, however for my hair I use one level tablespoon of baking soda for every eight ounces of water.

How thin is too thin?

I started my dreads a few days ago and as I was sitting at work today I starting thinking; are my dreads too thin? I've been looking on line because I want to eventually get beads to wear but it seems like most of them are made for thicker dreads, mine at the moment are slimmer than a pencil.So should I add more hair in to make thicker dreads or are skinny ones okay?

I'm biased because I sell there, but... Etsy.com is always my first choice for stuff. There are so many amazing artists and some will do custom work.

Do you have a bead or craft store in your town? Sometimes you can find awesome beads with large enough holes for dreads.

You can also make your own with polymer clay that you bake in the oven... any craft store should carry it.
