wholeheartedly!!!! Island Mamma said:
Aside from answering the same stuff all the time there is time factors that come into play.

Some times people don't have time to write out paragraph after paragraph every time they answer a thread.

For whatever reason maybe they are on a few forums or just popping on between dinner and getting kids ready etc etc etc

Thanks Natural, glad some one agrees. :)

couldn't agree more IslandMamma! We are all adults so lets act like it! I DO try and be kynd to everyone here as i would be if i met you on the street but nobody should have to censor their personalities here. We have freedom of speech and we should use it. It is just the internet. Island Mamma said:
I said it in Pixies thread and it applies here as well.

Interpretation is in the readers eyes.

It's colored by your own expectations and assumptions. You expect a certain response or answer and then inject your own feelings and experiences into assuming what tone something was offered in.

I find this forum very mellow and peaceful and sure once and awhile there is a disagreement usually by someone misinterpreting some one elses responses and then sound off about it.

Aside from obvious targeting like we saw when SE was caled names and we were all lumped in as having shit locks etc

I certainly do not want to police any one and I don't want to be policed.

I don't feel like we should be going around apologizing for anyones words but our own.

If you personally have a problem with some ones words or preceveid tones take it up with that person directly.

Weak roots from interlocking

Dread Maintenance

oh i'm sorry that happened to you. It's a shame that people will try and make a buck off of damaging someones hair unnecessarily. I don't really have much of a solution for you except maybe try to condition your hair to loosen it up a bit, or try an ACV rinse. The weak roots i really don't think there's any way to fix that. Good Luck

Pre-Dread

Introduce Yourself

not gonna hyjack this poor kids thread anymore this is making the entire site look bad. if you don't like it no ones holding you hostage. I didn't say EVERYONE here wanted to go natural. Calm Down. Natural Dreadlocks are not created with any method other than TIME! dreadymom marla said:
well, then the site should be changed to naturaldreadlocksite.com cause its false for people who want to come on here and just talk to other dreadhead people that do the same things or want the same things. there are no other outlets other than facebook that i have seen. i am not for wax either but i used it originally. i realized i did not want them. i have natural dreadlocks. its MY hair and they are NATURAL.
so then, its not dreadlocks methodsssss and maintenance forums at all, is it???? that would be false advertising, not that its advertising.

woah no its not his but i DO have a HUGE problem with you disrespecting someones elses locks. Not Cool!Just because you like em manicured and created doesn't mean that there's something wrong with someone who had the patience and confidence to go natural. dreadymom marla said:
so the pic he has on his profile page in his photos that has a big fat nasty dread in the back are not his?? i know the profile pic aint his. its pretty much everyone on heres profile pic.

i wasn't trying to take sides i was just stating how it appeared from this one thread. I understand that everybody has a right to their own opinions and i know we all get pissy sometimes. But i do happen to agree with Greys outlook on locks. we share an opinion on naturalism when it comes to dreads, not that everybody else does. You have to try & understand his personality a lil. Grey i don't mean to speak for you but since our lil FB discussion with alicia i do feel i get u a bit! We bonded over being called bitter anti waxers and i was being nice to the girl!anyway he is sincerely trying to help people he just doesn't sugar coat it! Don't be offended he is a sweetie! But you have to remember that this site is largely promoting Natural Locks.

maybe you should have said something in the other post cause if u read what he said and how you replied,it just makes u sound a lil cRaZy! Grey was simply offering another option from T & R and being honest. No bashing here. dreadymom marla said:
you know@greygargoyle your quite difficult arent' you?? i looked at your ONE pic of your dreads and maybe some people dont want one big fat dread in their hair. i want my dreads the way i want them to look, and this guy wants his to look a different way, why do you have to bash us for not wanting what you want. and thinking everything YOU do is right and what we do is wrong.
WRONG-O! GreyGargoyle said:
Why not just go natural?

There is no telling how much shorter your hair will get. Everyone is different.
