Think you can make a dread bead out of bamboo? Has it been done before?

Dread Accessories

bamboo is already hollow, my hubby makes beads for us all the time out of it, has for the past 10+ yrs. It hardens as it ages and after cutting it down you can carve designs into it.

Dread Maintenance Occurance - Honest Usage on this Site

Dread Maintenance

if you used wax or any harsher methods in the beginning it can take a little while to catch up in the maturity of your dreads. :o)

I don't think beads count. I am at almost five months from backcombing, and have lots of great locking going on. I have what looks like to me more fuzz and loose hair than lots of folks in similar stages, and just wondered if there is more maintenance going on than what gets talked about, know what I mean?

My dreads are natural/neglect and I don't mind if you use any of them, i probably don't have any that are worth using though :(

just cut off the sleeve of the t-shirt where it connects to the shoulder and you'll have a stretchy ring of material, use it like a headband :o)

SE, do you know of any way to help the side of the head that does not get slept on to make it dread faster? i'm runnin into this problem too, but the side i don't sleep on also has more dreads cuz my part is on the side and not down the middle. i also have dreads on the side i don't sleep on that are unraveling both back combs and t&r's. is it possible that some hair just won't dread??

I'm pretty sure most people's are the same way. My left side has more hair and so does my hubby's, it's not really noticeable to anyone but ourselves though, I wouldn't worry, i think because yours are so thick you're noticing it more than usual, I'm sure it's no biggie :o)
