Hi Raychel,I've been going natural for almost a month and a half - actually, it is super easy! Just don't brush, don't use conditioner, and get used to using bar soap instead of shampoo. I've tried several different types of bar soap, and found one that I bought at Cracker Barrel (haha) with pomegranate and some other stuff; it smells good but is very mild and doesn't leave residue. It is best to find a soap that works for you, so feel free to experiment! I have been wearing a lot of hats (and getting tons of compliments) and I still throw it up in a loose ponytail if it is looking bad. Usually, it looks really curly, especially after I wash it. Oh, I wash mine about every 2 to 3 days, and washing helps a lot.If you have any questions, feel free to send me a msg any time. My friend has big fatties, and I make stuff for her all the time - of course, I don't make my own beads. You could find someone who makes polymer clay beads on artfire and get some custom ones. I also make wire wraps and peyote stitches if you want sometime.Hope that helps! It is hard to find big beads, but I'm always looking in the local craft stores, and you can find some really cool stuff there.

Hiyas Jessie,My hair is also very fine and used to be super thick and curly. I think as you get older, your hair changes, and other things can affect it as well (like you said, health issues, dye, and also hard water, etc.). My dreadies are starting to really form up well; I'm going the natural method with my friend doing a little t&r along the way. I think you'll be just fine! Please keep us posted!Love,Bonnie
